Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Travelog processes, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.

Effective June 12, 2026

1. Who is responsible

Travelog is operated under the ChuppeWorks product name. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@travelog.day. Paddle separately processes payment information as Merchant of Record under its own privacy notice.

2. Information we process

  • Account and contact details, when account features are enabled.
  • Trips, places, routes, notes, checklists, expenses, photos or links, and changes you choose to store or synchronize.
  • Connection details and tokens for integrations you explicitly authorize.
  • Basic device, diagnostic, security, and usage information needed to operate and protect the service.
  • Purchase status, product, transaction reference, and refund status received from Paddle. We do not receive your full payment-card number.
  • Sponsored-suggestion impressions, clicks, and completed referrals when the first free Travel Mode trip is used.

3. How we use information

We process information to provide and synchronize Travelog, generate route and place proposals, select contextual sponsored suggestions inside Travelog, honor purchases, provide support, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell or share user-level itineraries, exact trip dates and times, accommodation, reservations, precise location, GPS tracks, notes, photos, contacts, or stable identifiers with advertisers or data brokers. Sponsors receive only the minimum reporting needed for billing and performance, such as aggregated impressions, clicks, and completed referrals. We do not sell personal information.

4. Local data and integrations

Some Travelog data may remain in your browser, Obsidian vault, or Notion workspace until you choose to send or synchronize it. When you request provider-backed features, the necessary query, coordinates, language, or route context may be sent to the relevant provider.

5. Service providers and transfers

We may use hosting, database, storage, monitoring, mapping, synchronization, support, and payment providers. These providers process only the information needed for their role. Because Travelog is global, information may be processed outside your country with safeguards required by applicable law.

6. Sponsored suggestions and choices

The first free Travel Mode trip may show clearly labeled, destination-relevant sponsored suggestions. Contextual matching happens inside Travelog. Sponsored items are not automatically added to your itinerary, and paid Travel Mode trips are ad-free. Any future use of trip data for aggregate commercial insights will require a separate, optional, revocable consent and safeguards against re-identification.

7. Retention and security

We keep information only as long as needed for the service, security, legal, tax, dispute, and backup purposes. Retention depends on the data type and your account choices. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

You may export or delete supported data, disconnect integrations, and request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability where applicable. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

9. Children

Travelog is not directed to children under 13 or the higher minimum age required in their country. Do not provide a child's personal information without appropriate legal authority.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as the service develops. Material changes will be announced through the service or another reasonable channel, and the effective date will be updated.
